Whitewater Rafting Season Begins!

Raft Masters is gearing up for a big season by opening up early. We can take you rafting today! You can book rafting trips with Raft Masters seven days a week starting March 15th. Traditionally, we are the first to open and the last to close…and have been for years!

Loveland or A-Basin ski areas in Colorado have long been known for running the longest season in the region for the ski and snowboard industry. Raft Masters runs the longest season of whitewater rafting trips in the Royal Gorge region, running trips from March through mid-October. We can do this because a lot of our staff (including our guides) are local and live right here in Canon City.

Water is being released out of the reservoirs upstream to make room for all of the snow pack that we have this year (Currently, we are at about 145% snow pack)! The early rafting season has much better conditions than we’ve seen in years. We are looking at a great white water rafting season ahead.

Currently, we are only running the Royal Gorge rafting trip during the early season – the best of the best. All other rafting trips will start running mid-May.
