Why Choose the Half Day Bighorn Sheep Canyon?
This is a perfect half day of fun for first time rafters and for families with younger children. You get the best of both worlds while experiencing the excitement of whitewater rafting.
The Run Down
Once you’re in the boat and heading down the Arkansas River, you will enjoy watching for bighorn sheep as you prepare to navigate the splashy rapids like Five Points, Spike Buck, and Cowgirl Up. This family friendly trip will provide adventures for the entire family. After traveling about 9 miles down the river, you’ll load up on the bus and head back to Raft Masters. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and view the action-packed photos taken of you and your group on the biggest rapid of your trip.
This trip is available 7 days/week with an 8:15 am and 12:45 pm check-in time from May 28th to September 6th.

Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of your check-in time will result in the cancellation of your trip.
Lunch is not included. However, guests do have the option to add on Subway sandwiches. This add-on is only available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
This trip is available for ages 5 and up (minimum of 50 pounds). Please call our office if you have questions about this requirement.
What Does Raft Masters Provide?
Raft Masters offers complimentary use of wetsuits, splash jackets, and river shoes. Helmets and life jackets are also required and provided.
What to Bring
Please bring sunglasses, a sunglasses retainer (i.e. Chums), sunscreen, lip balm, towel, and a dry change of clothes for after your trip. These are all available for purchase in our gift shop.
How Many Guests Per Boat?
We typically fit 6-8 guests per boat depending on water levels and trip selection.

Rail & Raft
The historical train will bring you back in time as you travel on old pathways along the most rafted river in the United States. Then get ready for the thrills and adventures of whitewater rafting in the afternoon!
Jeep & Raft
See things from a bird’s eye view as you climb to some of Colorado’s highest peaks in a Jeep and then look at things from far below in the canyons of the Arkansas River.
Boat & Bridge
Experience all the wonders of the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park with a morning filled with either mild or wild rafting, followed by lunch at our own Eddy Out Café. After lunch, spend an enjoyable afternoon at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.
Whitewater to Wine
Pair any of our unique Arkansas River whitewater rafting trips with a private VIP tasting tour of the Holy Cross Abbey Winery. For an additional $30/adult or $15/child (20 and under), this add-on is the perfect way to experience rafting plus some of Colorado’s best wines.
Segway Moto Track
After any morning, afternoon, or full day Arkansas River raft trip, add-on the thrill of riding your segway through the dips and turns of the World’s largest outdoor dirt moto track. There are multiple trip times every day to ensure this experience would fit in to any schedule! Prices start at $25 for 20 minutes.
Lunch is not included. However, an all-you-can eat buffet style lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh fruits and vegetables, chips, and drinks is available for purchase at our very own Eddie Out Café. Please call our office at (719) 275-6645 to add lunch to your trip.
